✨ What Made Them Famous
Hachikō became one of history's greatest symbols of canine loyalty. The Japanese Akita regularly accompanied his owner, Professor Hidesaburō Ueno, to Tokyo's Shibuya Station and returned to meet him after work. After Ueno died unexpectedly in 1925, Hachikō continued returning to the station for years, waiting for the companion who would never return. His devotion became famous throughout Japan and eventually around the world.
